HOW WILL SHE DO THIS? IF IT'S ANYTHING LIKE THE UNIVERSITY OF PHOENIX, BY OUTSOURCING THE TEACHING. DEDICATED BG FACULTY WOULD USE THEIR DECADES OF TRAINING AND EXPERTISE TO DESIGN ONLINE COURSES, WHICH WOULD THEN BE FARMED OUT TO LOWER PAID, LESS EDUCATED TEACHERS. MANY FOR-PROFIT UNIVERSITIES ARE  DEBT-GENERATING DIPLOMA MILLS WITH VERY LOW STANDARDS, ONLY REQUIRING INSTRUCTORS TO HOLD MASTER'S DEGREES, WHICH MEANS THEY'VE OFTEN RECEIVED ONLY 1-2 YEARS MORE TRAINING THAN THE UNDERGRADUATES THEY ARE TEACHING. THIS MEANS THEIR DIPLOMAS MIGHT BE WORTHLESS TO EMPLOYERS.

WHO WANTS A COMMUNITY COLLEGE EDUCATION AT RESEARCH UNIVERSITY PRICES? DESPITE BEING THE MO$T FINANCIALLY ROBU$T  UNIVER$ITY IN THE $TATE, MAZEY WANTS TO SQUEEZE EVEN MORE PROFIT FROM STUDENTS, CHARGING SMALL-CLASSROOM PRICES FOR A LARGE CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE. (KEEP THE CHANGE?)

IF ANY OF YOU HAVE TAKEN ONLINE CLASSES, YOU REALIZE THAT EVEN THE BEST ONLINE CLASS IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR A DEDICATED, EXPERIENCED PROFESSOR THERE IN THE CLASSROOM WITH YOU. DON'T LET MAZEY TRASH THE VALUE OF YOUR DEGREE. IF SHE SHIPS OUR JOBS OUT OF STATE (OR OVERSEAS), THE FACULTY WON'T BE THE ONLY ONES TO SUFFER FOR IT.
